The little round’s 17 grain V-MAX projectile is capable of practically instantaneous fragmentation thanks to its polymer tip. That tip is perched over a hollow in the bullet’s swaged lead core, so it builds up tremendous energy before initiating total self-destruction during penetration. The V-MAX’s tip also serves to improve its accuracy, as does its concentric and match grade AMP jacket.
